Cree esta imagen a inicios del 2021, estaba en mi taller experimentando con maquillaje y la bandera de Colombia, dándome cuenta de que, en sus colores, la bandera chilena y la colombiana comparten el azul y el rojo, decidí dibujarme una estrella sobre el rostro y encuadrar ambos colores como una bandera que contiene otra. Durante el estallido social en Chile y los movimientos sociales alrededor del mundo, los iconos nacionales como la bandera se han reinterpretado de múltiples maneras, dio la casualidad de que, a semanas de haber hecho esta foto, la bandera colombiana era sustituida por una misma invertida, acompañando lo que sería el estallido social en mi país natal.

I created this image at the beginning of 2021, I was in my workshop experimenting with makeup and the Colombian flag, realizing that, in their colors, the Chilean and Colombian flags share blue and red, I decided to draw a star on my face and frame both colors as a flag that contains another. During the social outbreak in Chile and social movements around the world, national icons such as the national flag have been reinterpreted in multiple ways. It so happened that, weeks after taking this photo, the Colombian flag was replaced by the same inverted one, accompanying what would be the social explosion in my native country.
